Dear Family,
Our third grade art curriculum includes a weaving project. Due to the popularity of the rainbow loom & rubber band weaving this year we will be doing a new weaving project. If you have a rainbow loom or some other type of rubber band bracelet loom you may bring it to art class the week we are weaving. Dates are listed below.
Please only bring your loom the day you have art. Make sure your loom is labeled with your name so we do not get the looms mixed up.
Miss Bonertz weaving day is February 11th
Mrs. McCarty weaving day is February 13th
We are creating a weaving using our fingers first. If you do not have a loom to bring, do not worry. We all have fingers. Weaving is a fun and easy way to practice our fine motor skills.
I will be providing rubber bands for this project, but if you would like to make a donation of rubber bands to art class please drop them off in the art room or the office for Mrs. Kloeckner.
Your interest in your child’s experiences in school encourages success. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Christina Kloeckner
